Meet The Cast!
"You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown" opens at Legacy Theater Company on July 7 bringing the iconic and nostalgic Peanuts gang to you live on stage. This is a wonderful summertime production for you and the whole family. In this post, we’d love to introduce you to our cast of six taking on these lovable and timeless characters.
CHARLIE BROWN
🪁 Steven Bain will be playing the role of CHARLIE BROWN.
About taking on this nostalgic and iconic character, Steven says, "There are many things about the character of Charlie Brown that I am excited about, but I am most excited to explore his self reflection. He is always seen or remembered primarily as an anxious or depressed character, but one of his most admirable qualities is his constant reflection of self and of his actions. He truly cares about who he is and how he impacts those around him. Though he has the tendency to take this to far, I believe that it is safe to say that we all could use a little more self reflection in our own lives and actions."
LUCY VAN PELT
👑 Erika Bain will be playing the role of LUCY VAN PELT.
About taking on this nostalgic and iconic character, Erika says, "Honestly, I wasn't thrilled about playing Lucy at first. It seemed like a straightforward and uninteresting role since she's known for being grumpy and bossy. However, after researching Charles Schultz's intentions for her character, I discovered a different side of Lucy. She's a confident, independent, and resilient woman who cares for her younger brothers and advocates for women's rights. She even aspires to become the President or Queen. I'm excited to bring all of her unique qualities to life on the stage."
SCHROEDER
🎹 Cameron Robinson will be playing the role of SCHROEDER.
About taking on this nostalgic and iconic character, Cameron says, "The biggest thing for me is his interactions with the other characters. Making him seem as though he is in his own world, but aware of what is going on around him. I'd like to make sure that I bring his passion for classical music to the audience. I see his infatuation with classical music as the very thing that drives him day to day. "
LINUS VAN PELT
💙 Fred Reindl, Jr. will be playing the role of LINUS.
About taking on this nostalgic and iconic character, Fred says, "What I look forward to the most about playing Linus is portraying the duality of his character. He’s often the philosophical voice of reason among his peers but he’s not without his insecurities. Having insecurities is something we all can relate to. Linus is also a loyal friend to Charlie Brown and the gang."
SALLY BROWN
🎀Kandee Arencibia will be playing the role of SALLY.
About taking on this nostalgic and iconic character, Kandee says, "One thing I am most looking forward to in playing the role of Sally is exploring some of her stronger characteristics. For instance, I love that she unabashedly speaks her mind. We find her plainly, directly (and comically!) expressing her thoughts and emotions throughout the show without any thought or worry of how they’ll be perceived. She is simply and completely herself."
SNOOPY
🐾 John Nichols will be playing the role of SNOOPY.
About taking on this nostalgic and iconic character, John says, "I feel thrilled to play a character that has been an inspiration to many generations, teaching valuable lessons about life. It's a great honor to bring Snoopy, a beloved character from the mind of Charles Schultz, to life on stage for the community to enjoy.”
